  2. As a learning tool the "Learning Group/Team" concept used in this course was incredibly helpful. I really enjoy working as a team and not as an individual. There were so many times that we were able to work together to create an end product that would have been way better than something we could have done by ourselves. It was very interesting learning about our Disc personalities and then observing those traits during everyday interaction. Different people in the group were able to bring different ideas and perspectives.
Our group really took a lot of time out of our day to help each other out individually, especially during the virtual weeks that we really didn't have to do. Each person brought something different to the group and really offered up that expertise when it came up in helping others.

    1. Nate,
I also really enjoyed working as a team and not just as an individual. This also enabled me to produce work that I would not have been able to do without all of you. If someone did not believe in group work before this course, they definitely do after. I enjoyed going through this process with everyone and their different personalities, traits, and ideas.

  3. As a learning tool the "Learning Group/Team" concept used in this course provided me with the insights and knowledge needed to be successful. Having our group throughout this course enabled me to get a variety of opinions and insights into my thoughts or ideas, as well as support me through our projects. After having this group throughout the duration of the course, I think it is strongly beneficial and is crucial to the success and development of the course members.

Because of this course (and team), I have a deep understanding of the importance of collaboration and team work. 5. As a learning tool the "Learning Group/Team" concept used in this course forced us to rely on each other’s strengths and figure a lot of the problems out for ourselves. Nothing really felt “spoon-fed” to us throughout this class. There was normally a brief introduction of a topic, a problem given, and we were basically left to figure it out by ourselves. In my opinion, this forced critical thinking and participation from every member of the group. I also think the intentional mix of personalities was a good thing too. It helped aid in getting that variety of thoughts and opinions. Thanks Team Platinum!

  6.   As a learning tool, the "Learning Group/Team" concept used in this course is valuable for a number of reasons. The first being, in most professions, even if you work alone, you are still part of a larger team working towards joint goals. This course forces you to rely on your teammates even if the projects are individual.  This work mirrors real-world dynamics in that even if working independently, there is a common project that needs to be completed.

Reviewing others' work helps you recognize other people have other ways of looking at the same problems. Perhaps their way might be better than that. It encourages each person to have an open mind and respect others' opinions or ways of getting to the same goal.  This also establishes accountability for each person on the team.

Additionally, being part of a learning group helps improve communication and interpersonal skills. You learn how to give and receive constructive feedback and contribute meaningfully to group discussions. These interactions are not just about the content but about learning how to navigate a multitude of situations. Overall, the group learning structure enhances both academic understanding and personal growth.

  7. As a learning tool the "Learning Group/Team" concept used in this course was useful for the team I/we were on. Historically, I am not a big team player. I am used to giving orders and having people follow them. Our team worked well together and I never had that feeling that I needed to just bark an order and have people do what I say. I am glad that I was part of this team. You all are amazing people and I appreciate the time that we spent together. I wish you all the best of luck in your future. I look forward to seeing what you all accomplish.
